Stop New sign-in to Firefox emails

more options
  • I am using a Macbook & a Windows laptop.
  • I created my Firefox account ~2 days ago on the Macbook and want to use Firefox on the Windows laptop
  • Every time I log into Firefox using the Windows laptop I get an email saying "New sign-in to Firefox".
  • In the past 12 hours Firefox has sent me 2 authorization codes to verify that it is really me signing in.
  • * * In Sync Settings when I choose "Connect Another Device" I am asked to open Firefox on my mobile device to scan a code.

This has to stop. Please help!

The credentials to connect to the Firefox Sync account are stored as an hidden entry in the Password Manager and stored in logins.json. If you do not keep these credentials then you need to login again and possibly confirm, so make sure that the Password Manager is working properly.

This is curious - I am only getting the new sign in emails when I sign out of Firefox. If I just down my computer with out signing out of FF, the next time I boot up Firefox still has me logged in... ? What do you know?
