My Gmail is stuck in desktop mode, despite the "desktop mode" being turned off. I can't read it so small, and blowing it up is impossibly awkward, sliding back and forth to read.

How do I fix this?? I'm almost ready to switch back to chrome (but don't, because it would be just like Google to make it impossible to switch just so I 'do' switch back to Chrome

Hi George

What is the make and model of Android device that you are using?

I have just tried myself to access Gmail in Firefox for Android and it does adopt a mobile view. That said, Gmail do recommend that you use the dedicated Gmail and you may find that easier to use.
