How to Block ALL Email from Walgreens?

Walgreens apparently has found a way around being labelled as spam. I do not know what it is. Each email comes from a different address, but all are being sent by this company. The standard junk labeling possibility does not appear on their emails, forcing every time the long way to "mark as junk."

I've tried to use the "create a filter" instructions but it does not seem to work where every email comes from a separate address.

I've searched the internet to find out about eliminating Walgreens emails, but it seems that Walgreens has ensured in some way that every single post by Walgreens shows up before you get to comments about how to eliminate Walgreens' emails.

I need a simple, clean way to get these assholes out of my inbox and keep them out. Can anyone help me?

First, those messages may not be coming from Walgreens at all. Spammers delight in using names of trusted companies to fool people. The junk filter can assist you if you actively flag both junk and non-junk to it, as that allows the junk filter to learn and do a better job. You might also try filtering by body of message, since my inference is there is similarity that identifies with Walgreens. Your first line of attack should be with your ISP, as they may also have filtering capabilities to assist you, such as spamassassin

No. These messages are indeed coming from Walgreens. I'm quite aware of the fake or spoof emails claiming to come from big name retailers and others. They're easy to deal with. Walgreens is a different kettle of fish. The junk filter does not work for me on Walgreens. I have labeled thousands of their emails as junk and it has no effect at all on their showing up in my inbox. I have never hear of "spamassassin" but will read about it and find out if it works. If, as is possible, spamassassin is for smart phones, I don't need it. I don't have a smart phone and get all my email on a desktop PC. So, for me, Thunderbird is the first line of defense, not my ISP.

Okay , spamassassin ( I may be mispelling it) is a tool used by many ISPs, to identify spam. There is a free product called spamfighter that works with TB, but I've not used it. If you host your own account, mxguarddog is good ( I use it).

Thank you, David. I downloaded and installed spamfighter and will see how it works. Using spamfighter I've blocked, individually, all the many different Walgreens emails I could find in my accounts and I'll keep you posted here about how it works.

i am pleased that it may help. THere is also a free tool (but only for one email account) called mailwasher, that prescreens email and lists them so you can make decisions on what to allow. It also maintains a spam filter that is based on your selections. I use the pro version because I have it check multiple accounts.
