Forget browsing data when starting a private mode window

When I start a private window on FireFox, that same private window still has all the browsing history attached to my "normal" FireFox windows.

Ideally, I'd like to start Private Mode and have FireFox start from "zero": No access to past browsing data.

Is there a setting that allows for this?

I have a "Clean" profile and start Firefox Private Browsing using that.

Hi, I'm not sure what you mean by "profile", could you go into more detail? I have a firefox account in which I'm logged in via the browser, even if I logout and start a Private Window, it still has access to past browsing history.

Sorry, I've probably been using Firefox far too long and assumed everyone uses profiles.

You can run Firefox in "Profile" mode, this means you can have different settings based on different profiles.

Here is how you use profiles

Everyone starts with the "Default" profile, once you can see the Profile Manager you can add another which will be completely clean, no add-ons, history etc.
