I just opened up Thunderbird and went to look in my Spam folder to see if a message was legit. I could see all the Spam messages and then they all just disappeared. Like a fool I tried this on my other accounts and the exact same thing happened, except I noticed that it moved the messages to the trash and deleted them before I could do anything. I have not set up an auto-delete function, so I don't know what the heck is happening here. I need to be able to retain messages in the Spam folders to make sure some legitimate emails don't get caught up in the filter. This is very alarming. Now I have no way of checking those emails. I fear they're gone forever.

Bump. Anyone have any insights on why this happened? I need this to not happen again. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated.

More info: I'm on Windows 10 fully updated running Thunderbird 102.2.2.
