I cannot configure yahoo mail on MacOS Ventura on Thunderbird. I get a error message trying to add my Yahoo mail account to Thunderbird: "Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password." When I set up my Yahoo mail for OS Mail I got a pop-up window to authenticate at Yahoo. I did not receive that when trying to config the account on Thunderbird. I am using Firefox as my browser. I do not have the Block pop-up windows box checked in Firefox settings. I'm using the account settings recommended by Yahoo. Incoming server Hostname: pop.mail.yahoo.com Port: 995 Connection security SSL/TLS Outgoing server Hostname:smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port: 465 Connection security: SSL/TLS

This might be your problem. Worth checking: Yahoo requires a different password when using an email client and requires OAUTH2 authentication. This URL may assist: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/SLN15241.html

When I changed the password type to Oauth2 it gave me a pop-up for Yahoo authenticaion. The account was then created successfully. Thanks! :-)
