I opened an email and changed the view to text, and that seems to have changed how emails are seen in the preview pane and when I open an email. I have gone through what settings I can find that look like they would affect emails but nothing has changed. How do I change the view of the email in the preview pane and when I open emails from text back to HTML?

Try setting View>message body as> Original HTML (If menu bar is not visible, click alt key first to show View)
