Firefox never updating in background despite the settings
Hello everyone,
I started using firefox actively a year back or something like that, last couple of months it started driving me nuts as it started updating every time I launch it, which is very annoying even if it takes only 10 15 seconds, I sometimes need to check something really quick and I have to wait for it to finish installing an update, even though I checked the setting for it to do so in the background, it seems to only do it after I launch it disrupting my workflow, which made me switch back to Chrome temporarily, is there a way to fix this?

The MSIX package installs alongside existing versions and won't update their shortcuts. To avoid confusion, you could uninstall all other Firefox versions on the system so there is only the MSIX installation.
I did clean uninstall first with Revo Uninstaller, then ran tan the commend Winget install Mozilla.Firefox, and the target on the new shortcut is the same as before.
The old shortcut would be orphaned in that case and can be deleted, the MSIX package creates its own shortcut. Try launching Firefox from the Start menu.

There is no old shortcut, Revo deletes it, and I am launching from start menu
You shouldn't need third-party software (Revo) to uninstall and it can introduce more variables.
The Microsoft Store app lets you see what is installed and you can launch apps directly from there.

Problems were introduced long before Revo, it was just another attempt at trying to fix this.
Also nobody is going to go to Microsoft store every time they want to launch Firefox.

Do you see Firefox listed in the Microsoft Store Library and are you able to launch it from there? This is just to confirm it is installed and working.
