Thunderbird keeps asking for password.
I apologize in advance for the language, I'm writing from a translator. Thunderbird on several accounts, every few days requires a password ... "login to the server failed, enter a new password". Just in case, I changed the passwords on these accounts (with the option to remember), a few days of peace and again the problem. However, logging in with the old passwords before and the new ones now on the server is no problem at all.
I reinstalled TB but unfortunately it doesn't help. The same on the stationary and laptop, what could be the problem? Currently, email is available only on the server, I do not have access to Thunderbird.

I just got back from work, I didn't have time to do anything you suggested and TB started working normally, it receives and sends information. I don't know what was the cause, since it went away by itself ;) So I will monitor TB and if it happens again I will come back to your tips and do so. Thank you very much for your help :).

Hello! Thanks for reaching out!id be happy to help you with that issue!Let me ask a few question to provide a better service.1-What email provider are you using (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook)?2-Is your email account set up with two-factor authentication (2FA) or app-specific passwords?3-Are you using IMAP or POP3 for your email accounts in Thunderbird?based on iformation you provided about the use of multiple devices with one account,it can be assumed that Multiple devices with different settings can sometimes interfere with one another, especially if one is using POP3 while the others are using IMAP.ill be glad to help again.Thank you.
Hello, thank you for your reply. I use Thunderbird. The account does not have two-factor authentication and does not have specific passwords. I use IMAP, I have several email accounts on one computer and only in the event of a computer failure I use my laptop, but very rarely. Best regards :) .
Hello!my pleasure! Thank you for the clarification, and you're welcome! Given that you're not using two-factor authentication or app-specific passwords, and you have multiple email accounts set up in Thunderbird, let's focus on resolving the issue you're experiencing with Thunderbird asking for the password repeatedly. Here's a summary of steps you can try, specifically for Thunderbird without two-factor authentication:Summary of Steps to Fix the Issue:
Verify IMAP/SMTP settings for each account. Remove and re-enter saved passwords in Thunderbird. Test by temporarily disabling antivirus/firewall to check for interference. Reset Thunderbird profile by creating a new one and testing. Make sure you're using the latest version of Thunderbird. Check server logs in Troubleshooting Information for more details.
I hope this helps! Please let me know how it goes or if you need any further assistance. 😊
