I keep getting a message that firefox wants to upgrade my firefox beta to the latest version of firefox beta. I do not want to do this since, when I did upgrade it, it crashed my internet. I couldn't get on even with Internet Explorer

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

== When Firefox downloaded a new version

If you've gotten the update downloaded and pending install, you'll need to close Firefox and delete it to stop it: See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update

After closing Firefox, Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\updates\

To stop getting beta updates for Firefox 3.6.x, just reinstall the release version of Firefox from http://getfirefox.com

Any Firefox update should not affect your internet connection or other OS functionality, though.
