When using various versions of the more recent Firefox on a G4 Mac operating under system 10.4.11... In other Mac programs when clicking in the clear area below the scroll bar (on the right margin), the page should drop exactly and only one screen of information. In Firefox, the page generally drops to the end of the page skipping many screens of information.

You can check if it is caused by an extension. I think that I've seen this mentioned before on Mac, but can't remember if it is a specific Mac problem or something else.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
