I downloaded the most recent updates to Firefox and now the games on Pogo (game site) will not load. Had no previous problems with games loading. Have cleared caches & updated Java to see if that would help but it didn't. The game site loads and navigates just fine - only the games will not load.

I have the exact same problem in using the game site www.pogo.com

I went to their live help on site and was told that it was the problem of my "browser" and that I should download and use Google's Chrome. Now, I don't appreciate the fact that with firefox I USED to be able to play these 'java-based' games just fine! The last update has ruined this for me! So, yes I downloaded Chrome.....is this what Firefox wants? To see users go to a browser we don't care for just to be able to play games? I love Firefox! Please FF! Make this right and fix us!

I solved this problem by uploading the older version of Firefox 3.6.13 which overwrote the newer version. After the upload went to Tools, Content, and then unchecked and re-checked Enable Java. Everything works fine now. Basically back to where I was yesterday. Apparently Mozilla is aware of this problem and is readying a 'quick fix' which should be available shortly.

i had the same problem when i upgraded to firefox 6.0.2. after a day spent trying various solutions (mostly hit & miss) i solved the problem by doing this:

  • tools
  • page info
  • permissions
  • then set first four boxes to "allow"
  • left last two set to "always ask".

this worked for me....hope it solves your problem also.
