I downloadedFF 4.0 about a week ago. It was working great! I made some changes following all recommended guidelines to keep from slowing down FF loading from a cold start (after PC start up). It has been loading in 3~5 secs, which is fine for me. Then out of nowhere, I woke up one morning and start up time jumped to ~25 sec!!!!! I have loaded only one approved skin (LavaFox-Black Fox) from WindowBlinds, I myself added no apps or plugins. I only changed yahoo, igoogle and you tube to dark theme formats. Some plugs were installed automatically I guess by FF.

Try starting Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode. If it launches like it used to do before you added the dark theme, that's the most likely culprit.

Here's a list of Slow Performing Add-ons which can slow Firefox down.
