Graphics going screwy (only in browser)
Updated to the new version last night, and right off the bat something doesn't look right. The frame of the window doesn't sit correctly in the view of the screen like it's glitched out, and any time I type something, move the mouse, or load another page, text boxes , pictures and even buttons on the browser itself all flash black boxes over them then disappear onto another one and jump around every where. The only time this doesn't happen is in full screen mode and I don't like browsing that way. I re-installed adobe flash player but that didn't work. Advice?

Yesterday I reinstalled FireFox because I got a new HD, and just like you, got this graphical glitch instantly. It does not happen in IExplorer, it affects flash heavily, but if I go fullscreen, it does not happen. Im using the latest version on windows 7 64-bit home premium. Any help is apreciated
Please read How to i update my Graphics Driver , that is what appears to be going wrong. If you still have problems, you can start a new thread.
Try to disable hardware acceleration.
- Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
Didnt work, however ive noticed the black suqares only flash on the regions i hover my mouse on/type
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

In safe mode, I dont get the flashes. But none of the solutions worked (I did them before trieing in safe mode) Id guess its something in my laptop? But Ill need more info to call Dell to replace anything
I dont know how or WHY, but its working normally now, somethign happened after starting the laptop on safe mode and then starting normally that fixed it, thanks!
