Twice now I have a few collections of saved tabs in FF 5. They're there in the tabs section for a few days, then suddenly the tabs section is completely empty. No tabs. All gone. I haven't changed anything in preferences or done anything special to the tabs. How do I get FF to actually hold on to these tabs collections? thanks

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode.

  • You enter Private Browsing mode if you select: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > History: Firefox will: "Never Remember History"
  • To see all History and Cookie settings, choose: Firefox > Preferences > Privacy, choose the setting Firefox will: Use custom settings for history
  • Deselect: [ ] "Permanent Private Browsing mode"

@cor-el thanks, good thinking. I checked on all of that. FF was not set to private browsing, I have it set to "Use Custom settings for History". Private browsing was/is not selected. Is there a method to erase tabs groups? Maybe I did it unknowingly/

I've done all this and it's still not saving them.

What now?
