since updating to 5.0 bookmarks do not scroll properly in the drop menu instead cursor sticks in a expanded folder, is there a way to fix this?

when trying to access the bookmarks folder from the top of the screen the cursor constantly sticks in a folder it expands so that scrolling further down is not possible without scrolling back up and then it just sticks again before reaching the desired folder. It however works fine if accessed from the bookmarks drop down arrow on the far right of the screen.

That sounds very close to problem in https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/850203

If you have Forecast Fox and that is the problem, mark this as solved, and mark that that one as helpful (only the owner can mark as solved).

I'm using a Mac 10.5.8 and am having a similar problem. It's like I have to sneak up on the intended bookmarks folder very carefully or another one will open, forcing me to start from scratch. This began when I updated to Firefox 5.0.1.

I have the same issue on my iMac (OSX 10.5.8). It started last week as soon as I updated to Firefox 5.0.1. Is there a resolution??

Another thing to try is Stay Open Menu (21.5 KB, download)

On a Mac that would be using the Command key instead of the Ctrl key.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can also try to reset the Firefox plist file.

Go to "Library > Preferences" and remove the plist file for Firefox (org.mozilla.firefox.plist).
