The question pretty much sums it up. Basically, I can attach documents to my emails in other browsers (and could do firefox - my favourite browser - until I updated my flash to the latest version 2 days ago). Now the other browsers can still operate and attach items in my web mail but Firefox cannot. I can click "Attachment" in my web mail but where the others actually attach the item I select from my hard drive, Firefox merely allows me to click on the chosen attachment and then nothing happens, no attachment or processing or transferring of data/attachment occurs. So I am having to move to another browser until this can be resolved, which is a shame.

Does it work if you temporarily run Firefox as a 32 bit application?

  1. Close Firefox
  2. Start the Finder and open the Applications folder
  3. Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
  4. Select "Get Info"
  5. Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
  6. Close the "Firefox Info" window
  7. Restart Firefox

Hello, I tried both of your suggestions but alas, no joy. I am testing with an image I downloaded on here. This seems to work. But in my web mail, it still doesnt upload/attach.

Went through all of the Trouble shooting and extensions, safe mode, disabled mode, updated anything old, removed flash, reinstalled a new firefox, still the problem exists. I still seem to be able to upload an image on here but not on the web mail.

I am starting to think that it may have occurred when I update my firefox a few days ago. I think I noticed I didnt have the latest version so I downloaded the latest version and the problems started around then. Can I reinstall an older version somehow?

Which email service are you using to upload attachments ?? Is the problem occurring on other Email services as well ??

Hi all, I have just reinstalled the old version of Firfox (downgraded) and I now have my attachment tool fully working again, although it seems slower than the newer version. Not sure what the answer is though...
