Can only run Firefox full screen

When I first start Firefox, I can run it in a reduced size window. After putting it down a couple of times, it will not reopen as a reduced size. If I right click on it, I can open it maximized only. If I try to resize it, the size cursor goes to the upper left corner of the screen but does not do any resizing
