Why is FF opening a picture in a new tab with it centered and black background?

When ever I used to open a picture in a new tab, it would always appear in the upper left hand corner, with a white background. Since my upgrade to 11.0, it's now being force-centered with a black background, which i detest. How can I change this?

That is a new feature in Firefox to improve the visibility of images opened in a new tab. However, if you would like to disable it, you can install https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/old-default-image-style/, which will revert the change for you.
