Firefox seems to crash on certain sites, like www.nu.nl of www.ad.nl It looks like it has someting to do with a combination of images and javascript. Firefox crashes as soon as the site is opened, no cras report is generated. Crash happens even in safe mode I have uninstalled flash, this did not help I have uninstalled firefox completely and re-installed, but this did not resolve the problem, please advise

kind regards, Dennis Lutz

Hi,

You can try to Reset Firefox via Help (Alt + H) > Troubleshooting Information. If the problem persists, please see this.

I also have Windows XP SP3 with Firefox 13.0.1 and the sites www.nu.nl and www.ad.nl opens fine without crash.

Maybe a virus or a corrupted Firefox profile/cache.

You can check for problems caused by a recent Flash 11.3 update and possibly downgrade to Flash 11.2 or 10.3.

Well, downgrading, upgrading to 1.4.10b, using safemode, reïnstalling, changing windows-profile, uninstalling flash did not do the job. Firefox keeps crashing.

thanks for your input so far, keep'em coming

Did you try it with the Firefox 13.0.1 release version and a new profile?

Did you try to disable all plugins?

Hi cor-el, Yes I've tried all that. disabling plugins was my first hunch. I even tried to install firefox in different languages - in a new profile ... no luck so far

Does it help if you disable the plugins by setting the plugins.click_to_play pref to false on the about:config page?
