Since installation Firefox 20.0.1. There is a box in the center of my screen titled Install Progress with a green progress bar running below it.
Please Help This Driving me Mad Since the installation Firefox 20.0.1. on my MS Windows 7 Toshiba Laptop There has been a box in the center of my screen titled 'Install Progress< with a green progress bar running below it. Firefox 20.0.1 (FF) is working fine and I can drag the progress box about my screen to my hearts content. Although it has no little cross in the upper right corner I can get rid of it by hovering my mouse above the (ff) icon pinned to the program task bar. this gives me an Install progress box with the little cross, click and its gone. That is until I close and restart (ff) and back it comes right in the middle of the screen. I have tried to get rid of it through ALT-CTRL-DEL Task Manager, but again it reappears on start up of (ff) I have also stripped (ff) from my machine once using MS Widows Program Features Uninstall/Change and for a second time using a third party software and as soon as I reinstall (ff) it back same old problem. Thank You Regards Fenfolly

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window or otherwise make changes.

Thank you for your rapid response to my plea for help. I have done as you said. Your Brilliant, what you told me to do has sorted my problem out. A third party tool bar had installed its self at the same time or there about as the Firefox upgrade. I had just finish going through all my Add-ons and plugins with little hope but then I found it lurking in the View - toolbar menu.
I am really pleased thank you very much for your help I really do mean that thank you Kind Regards Fenfolly
I removed the extension Amazon Toolbar 2.17 and the problem was solved.
