i cant get the new version, to download flashplayer, keeps telling me to shut down firefox and continue, the problem is i need it to run flash player, if it cant, its a waiste of time to have it on my computer...

You only need Firefox to download and save the Flash installer to your computer (e.g. the Desktop). Then you can close Firefox and run the Flash installer.
