noticed problem when I was running Windows Vista, assumed Vista was problem.

Just upgraded to Win7 with latest version of Flash on new hard drive. Still loads and executes two separate copies of FlashPlayer. If only suppose to run one copy of Flash, is this a Firefox or Adobe problem?

I have screen shot of task mgr. window but don't see a way to attach to this msg.

Flash starts off running completely inside plugin-container.exe. If one or more separate Flash processes sprout outside of it, that is a result of the protected mode feature. This feature is somewhat buggy, so if you have issues with Flash stability or Firefox performance running Flash, you may want to disable it. You can learn more about protected mode here:
