Every a few days my yahoo log in password and all info get deleted from master list. I have to enter it manually over and over. Yahoo also disabling in log in page Mozilla's password memorizing script. I figured out how tho get around it and record the password. Is there any way I can back up my file(s) where this info is stored and then just run batch file to replace it back when suckers in yahoo wipe it out? Please let me know where the file(s) are stored and the name(s). Or do you have any idea how to fix this? This very annoying. Thank you.

Can you please update to Firefox 30 and let me know if it still happens there?

Update Firefox to the latest release

Note that the current Firefox 30 release no longer needs a workaround when web pages use autocomplete="off".

See:

Ignore autocomplete="off" when offering to save passwords via the password manager (see bug 956906)

Details like websites remembering you (log you in automatically) are stored in a cookie, so make sure that you keep this cookie.

  • Create a cookie 'allow' exception to keep such cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
  • Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions

In case you are using "Clear history when Firefox closes":

  • do not clear the Cookies
  • do not clear the Site Preferences

Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, passwords, and other website specific data.

Clearing cookies will remove all specified (selected) cookies including cookies with an allow exception that you would like to keep.
