My TB display no longer has the folder search box -- only the global search box, so searching an individual mail folder just became more difficult. Why?
Previously, the main message display showed two search boxes -- one for the displayed folder and one for a global search. Now I see only the global search box. Has the folder search box been dropped in the latest version of TB, or is it an option that can be restored? The folder search box is far more convenient for simple searches than the search box that you get when you right click on the folder list.

Do you have the QuickFilter Bar enabled?
View|Toolbars|QuickFilter Bar
BTW, there is yet another search tool: ctrl+shift+f
