When I visit websites for which I have usernames and passwords saved in FF, which FF used to autofill and which other browsers still autofill, FF no longer fills them. I am not using Private Browsing and signon.autofillForms is set to true.

I noticed you have the October 2011 version of this extension:

https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/autofill-forms/

It was updated in September 2014, and you might need the newer version now. To get the update, you can have Firefox check for extension updates as follows:

Open the Add-ons page using either:

  • Ctrl+Shift+a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, above the list, look for the button with the "gear" or "cog" icon, click that, and "Check for Updates."

Or if you only want to update this one extension, I think installing from the Add-ons site will overwrite the old version with the new one (not 100% sure about that).

Or if you don't actually use that extension, you can disable or remove it on the Add-ons page and see whether that makes any difference.

Brilliant! That solved it.

Thanks, Nick
