My emails have reached 5,000 plus and I want to keep some of them in a folder outside Thunderbird, available to read, put onto a disc etc. However, I cannot seem to move any. In OE I can highlight any number and move them all at once. Please can someone a bit patient tell me in simple language how to do it as i am not very computer-literate. Thank you in anticipation.

You can move individual messages, one by one using drag-and-drop or File|Save As.

To work with multiple messages, I'd use the https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/mboximport-en.html add-on.

Thank you for the link to the add-on. Firefox told me it was not a good place to go as it wasn't verified. I know so little about risks etc. that I don't know whther to take notice of the caution or not. Can you advise further?

I really don't see why one cannot select a number of emails and move them en bloc, bot obviously this is not an option. rah!

Thank you for the help thus far.
