cant access internet from airport express after installing firefox. The network shows "connected"status but i cant access the internet

I use two networks with my mac os 10.6. An airport network and a cable modem network. I downloaded FIreFox, my airport express network shows connected, but I cannot access the internet. When i switch the network to my WOW cable network, I can connect to the net with no problem. I tried to uninstall Firefox and drag to trash with no help for the problem. I tried using time machine to go back to a previous of McIntosh HD hoping that would fix the problem to no avail. HELP!!
