When I open my profile in Firefox, it launches within 5 seconds. When my wife clicks on hers, it takes at least 30 seconds to start. I have turned off add-ons and extensions and that makes no difference. I can start hers in safe mode and all is there, but it still takes about 30 seconds to launch.

Running Win7 and have checked Firewall settings, but of course would be the same for both profiles.

Any suggestions?

Do you both have different Windows user accounts?

Create a new profile as a test to check if the current profile is causing this problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Hello remnam, maybe your wife's profile is corrupted. Create a new (third) profile and if that one works correct, then you can transfer the valuable data from corrupted profile to the new one.
