Hi gaurav_kumar37.

You should be able to change the default behavior for each file in Firefox Options > Applications - more detailed described in Manage file types and download actions in Firefox help article.

Hi Michal,

i have Tried this but my file type is .PEM which is not visible there , when i download it also still it is not coming and "Do this Automatically from here" is aLSO COMING BLUR OUT

Do you have also preset the folder where to save the downloads, or is Firefox always asking? Besides I am not sure, if it's safe to save .pem files without asking.

Are you unable to right-click the hyperlink for those .PEM files and use Save Link As...?

That is the most effective way of by-passing that "Save / Open" dialog. I suspect those .PEM files lack a proper MIME-Type; considering that "Do this Automatically" is greyed-out. Without a proper MIME-Type Firefox will always default to asking the user what to do with the file; it "assumes" nothing based solely upon the file extension. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Media_type
