Just to be sure: you are typing into the address bar (drop-down shows autocomplete suggestions from history) and not the search bar (drop-down shows search suggestions and search site icons)?

Can you paste an example of a URL that Firefox searches instead of loading?

Also, could you test in Firefox's Safe Mode? In Safe Mode, Firefox temporarily deactivates extensions, hardware acceleration, and some other advanced features to help you assess whether these are causing the problem.

You can restart Firefox in Safe Mode using either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
  • Help menu > Restart with Add-ons Disabled

and OK the restart.

A small dialog should appear. Click "Start in Safe Mode" (not Refresh).

Any improvement?

How about '7torrents.top" When I originally asked it was seventorrents.one. This is 200% annoying. Obviously there is no fix it is just the nature of this inferior product

If I paste 7torrents.top into the address bar on Firefox 49.0.2 on Windows and press Enter to load it, Firefox opens to http://7torrents.top/Movies/Browse.aspx

Did you try Safe Mode?
