I'm a straightforward PC/internet user, who likes to personalise my settings, mostly with soft background colours. I know nothing of the technicaliites and I prefer not to download apps, or bits of other software, and I won't change the registry etc. I've just upgraded to Windows 10 and, although I understand it began with all-white title bars, it now lets me choose the colour of the title bar, which I've done. Fine. So why doesn't Mozilla/Firefox also give a similar choice of colour of the title bar, toolbar, etc, instead of the monotonous grey we are now saddled with? I have found a plain light blue under 'themes', which is a compromise, but I really just wanted a straight colour option under toolbar customising settings. It surely can't be that difficult?!

Hi RoseClare, volunteers here in the support forum can't always answer "Why" questions.

Firefox has a long history of relying on add-ons for some types of customization as the developers focused on other priorities. There's always much more work to do than people to do it.
