Hi, open the Add-ons Manager (Ctrl+Shift+A) > Extensions, then Options for Gmail notifier, and see if there is anything you can change. If that doesn't help, you could try a different email notifier - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xnotifier Another option: If you right click and Pin Tab on Gmail, the tab will change colour (in a rather subtle way) when mail is received, which you should also be able to see by pointing at the tab with your mouse.
