Every time I search anything, I always get nude women, men, sexual content. Doesn't matter what words I type in, pornographic content is included in the images window... How do I stop this from happening?

Hi

There are several ways you can do this:

  1. Speak to your Internet Service Provider (ISP). Many have filtering and parental controls they can put in place to reduce the chances of seeing that type of material.
  2. You may wish to use a Firefox Add-on. A list of some that may help can be found here.
  3. There may be controls included with the operating system of the device that you are using. I recommend consulting a specialist Apple forum for help with this.

I hope this helps, but if not, please come back here and we can look into a different solution for you.

Whichever search tool you are using should have a setting that will help with this. Google, for example, under Settings has a Safe Search setting.

"SafeSearch Filters SafeSearch can help you block inappropriate or explicit images from your Google Search results. The SafeSearch filter isn’t 100% accurate, but it helps you avoid most violent and adult content."

There is a box to turn this on and another to lock it on.

The add-ons may be good, but starting Firefox in Safe Mode disables all add-ons.

Do a web search for Free Child Protect software.
