When I open Firefox, first I get the 'green lock,' then a gray triangle over it, then the triangle turns yellow. I have to hit my home button several time to get the green lock to stay on (I use Yahoo as my home page). However, if I go to sports or finance or anywhere else, the yellow triangle comes back. All since I loaded the latest version of Firefox. Any suggestions?

Thanks, I appreciate your reply. I had already read that article but since this only happened with my last upgrade, I wanted to find a fix for it instead of letting it go.

You could try this:
Type in the address bar   about:config (promise to be careful) Search:   mixed Under the Preference Name heading find: Security.mixed_content.block_active_content Set it's value to   'false'

There are no dumb questions;   only dumb answers   ........

After you've set the value to   'false'   you shouldn't get these warning signals for pages with mixed content anymore.

If you   still   get these warning signals:   then at least my first line was
correct   ........

I did as you laid out and I was careful. Things have changed in that I now get a grey lock with a red line through it (that's new). Wondering if there was some flaw in my last Firefox upgrade as I never saw any of these triangles or lines before doing that upgrade (using Firefox for over 10 years). Thanks again for all the help.

Hi   again, You know:   just go back to   about:config   (and promise to be careful again); search for   mixed,   and under the   Preference Named : Security.mixed_content.block_active_content_ set it's value back to   true

That is how I have set mine,   and I get this yellow warning signal all the time on pages that show images of some kind. As long as those images don't reveal sensitive information:   I couldn't care less. If, however, this really bothers you;   you could consider an add-on:
