Why does every new version of FF cause problems?
After an "update", FF refuses to start. I'd rather keep the bugs than have you try to update and leave me with no choice but to use IE and call Dell for support! This has happened twice now since early December.
This AM, FF announced it was downloading an update but there was no chance to refuse it. The download completed and when my wife tried to open it, suddenly we're dead in the water. I've attached an image.

Sorry. I contacted Dell about this (as I had the last time). They have a history of finding that Trend Micro, which I have, interferes with Firefox. Many of their customers have the same problem and it spikes when you have a new release.
We removed Trend Micro and re-installed Firefox. I'm using Windows Defender presently and will find another anti-virus prgm if need be. I have some other issues with Trend Micro (billing and account issues) so I'm glad to see the back of them anyway.
Thanks.

We're sorry to hear that your Firefox seems to be crashing when you open it. Please perform the following steps to give us a crash report ID that helps us find out more about the cause of the crash.
- On the keyboard, press [Windows] The image "Windows key" does not exist. + [R]. This should bring up a Run window that contains a text field.
- In that text field, type %APPDATA% and press Enter. An explorer window should open.
- From that explorer window, double-click on the Mozilla folder, then double-click on Firefox and then on Crash reports. Double-click on submitted.
- Now, you should see a list of files that contain reports. Go to View > Arrange Icons by > Modified to get the most recent files at the top of the window.
- Open the most recent 5 files with a text editor and copy the IDs.
- Paste each ID with bp- into the reply window on the forums.
Thanks in advance!
