I was recently analyzing a crash file and I noticed that the 'version' listed does not match my product version.

Crash file here: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/6d1d312f-644d-4c61-8b26-14a4e0170424

The listed version in the crash stats: 49.0.1 The listed version in About Firefox is: 53.0 The listed version in Windows is: 53.0

What is going on here? Is this even a problem?

Websites say that Firefox is outdated or incompatible even though it's the latest version https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/websites-say-firefox-outdated-or-incompatible

That may well be an old incident, even though the report was just processed today. In the first table it says of the Firefox that captured the information:

Install Time: 2016-10-03 15:58:12

To expand on that:

Install Age: 265,486 seconds since version was first installed (3 days, 1 hour and 44 minutes)

So that would make the incident date approximately October 6, 2016

Thanks for asking, or I would probably never have gotten around to figuring out how to do that math.
