Hello,

Try Firefox Safe Mode to see if the problem goes away. You can restart in Firefox Safe Mode from the Help menu:

  • Click the menu button New Fx Menu, click Help Help-29 and select Restart with Add-ons Disabled.

When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "Start in Safe Mode".

If the issue is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension. Please follow the steps in the Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems article to find the cause.

When you figure out what's causing your issues, please let us know. It might help others with the same problem.

I agree with the above recommendation.

Also, what kind of information or requests are in the popup? You probably have noticed more privacy notices and cookie disclosures on the web in recent weeks. These come from the websites and may be difficult to avoid.

On another forum, users mentioned that add-ons like the following may be able to remove or hide those panels depending on which filtering lists you have installed:

You may have ad/mal-ware. Further information can be found in this article; https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware?cache=no

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
