I probably know the answer to this, but I'll ask anyway. I have a user's Thunderbird profile stored on a network share. This permits the users to "roam" to any workstation in the office and get his profile. But, what if the user logs onto two workstations at the same time? Could this mess up the profile settings if two profile information is updated from different places? Will the computer from which the updates were NOT made see the updates? What if the user doesn't update profile information? Can calendar updates get messed up (although I believe sqlite locks updates). What about the local email cache which will be on the same network drive.

Accessing the same profile from two different computers is asking for trouble. Don't do that.

Switching workstations is rare for users to do, but it does happen, especially if someone different needs to man the front desk. I will have to caution them to make sure they don't have their email opened in both places. Better yet, make sure they are logged out on their "usual" workstation.
