I have created message filters for my main email account and all works ok

When i try to create a filter for second account I can't see how to change the "run selected filter on" value to the name of the second account - only the main account folders are showing All suggestions and help appreciated

The filter window is a bit clumsy. Select any folder of the second account in the Folder Pane, then Tools/Message Filters, create a filter, and then the folders for the 2nd account appear in 'Run selected filter(s) on' drop-down.

Thanks sfhowes

I now know that each account has its own set of filters!

Ideally the instructions at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters should explain that and how to select the required account

Thanks again

You're welcome to edit the article. That is part of what open source is about, seeing a need and acting on it.

You click the edit entry beside the article. See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/edit-knowledge-base-article

Thanks Matt

You gave me the confidence to have a go!

The method in the link appears more complex than needed. I clicked "edit" as you suggested and found the toggle at the bottom of page to change the display to document like text. I made my changes there.

Wait now to see the result of the review

Thanks again

Looks good to me. Short minor changes are by far the best to get approved. Technical articles take a lot longer as someone often has to actually review the technical details.
