Hi,

My phone is iPhone SE (the old model), iOS 14.0.1. — if I have Firefox as the default browser, at least in two different apps (that have nothing to do with each other) I'm unable to tap and open links that are supposed to direct me to the default browser and open a page or a PDF.

If I change the default browser to Safari, I'm able to tap & open those links. And then again, if I change the default browser to Chrome, the links won't work.

Is it only my phone that is doing this...?

Thanks in advance!

In case anyone wants to try to reproduce the error I have encountered, the following can be done without giving personal details (obvs, given the app) and without really setting the app up on the phone:

Download the Italian government's coronavirus related contact tracing app Immuni (see reference image); it only asks your region and province which can of course be randomly selected in this case.

Click 'Next' until you come to the screen where you are supposed to be able to click on 'Privacy Policy' and 'Terms & Conditions' – if my default browser is Firefox (or Chrome), I'm NOT able to open those links that are supposed to take you to the Immuni website and show privacy policy and TOU (those can be found on the app website www.immuni.italia.it; scroll to the bottom of the page).

And if my browser is Safari, the redirecting to the above mentioned documents works.
