Hi, my computer crashed and shut down. After that, when I started Thunderbird, it acted like I just installed it. It did not load any of my data (accounts, emails, folders, etc.) and asked me to create an account. I backed up my profiles, uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird, and copied the data from my old profile into the new profile, but the problem persists. I also tried just copying prefs.js (and changed the profile name in the path) and the ImapMail and Mail folders with no change.

I noticed that the profile folders were not deleted when I uninstalled Thunderbird, so I manually deleted them. The new installation then created two profile folder (xxx.default and xxx.default-release). I eventually created a new profile in the profile manager and replaced the file in that one, but it doesn't help.

I would really appreciate your help!

Sounds like the crash might have corrupted the profile. Do you have a backup copy of the profile folder BEFORE the crash happened?
