Changing email address for Firefox Accounts

This is really not specifically about Firefox Sync or Firefox itself, but I can't find a better match.

 Months ago I changed my email address with Firefox Accounts.  I currently log in with the new email address and I only see the new email address under my account preferences.  But when I add a new device to Firefox Sync, the "Complete Sync Setup" email is going to my old email address, meaning the one I previously used with my Firefox account.
 Can anyone suggest if there is a way to change this or if there is something I am doing wrong?

Hi, make sure that the email you want to use is set as your 'primary' one. More: Add a secondary email address to Mozilla accounts
