Normally this white bar on top (screenshot attached) was not visible, and minimise, enlarge and close buttons were next to the list of tabs, integrated into the theme. Does anyone know how to do that again? Honestly I don;t know when and how it broke/happened. I am aware that its a minor thing, everything works well, but it,s just bugging me, especially while using firefox at night (I have the browser set to dark mode, but this still is white and hurts my eyes. F11 doesn't fix it, I tried.

That looks like the Windows title bar.

  • you can toggle the title bar on/off via the "Title Bar" button at the bottom left in the Customize palette window

Call me blind, but I cannot find this customise pallette window...

You can find Customize in the context menu if you right-click free space on a toolbar or right-click buttons like the "3-bar" Firefox menu button that do not have their own context menu. Customize Toolbar is also found in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list under More Tools, but right-clicking is much easier.
