This is a question relating to Thunderbird. I want to increase the default text size in incoming emails to make them easier to read, but I cannot find how to do it. I have to use zoom (Ctrl++) on every one as I read it. Have tried altering things in Settings but no help. Can anyone help, please?

There are separate settings for the general interface, for composing mail and for viewing mail. Check a few other places like Display - Formatting - Fonts and Colours, or some similar settings page? You should see Font settings for 'Latin' at the top, then set the fonts and uncheck 'Allow messages to use other fonts'. Then change the Latin language to any others that appear in the drop down, and make the same changes.

Exactly what "things" did you change in Settings? Some of them are temporary. Check in Tools|Options|Display|Formatting->Advanced and set the fonts and sizes larger - but if you are using Linux, the path may be different.

I'm using Linux and I went to Preferences>General>Language & Appearance>Advanced and I increased the minimum text size but it seemed to have no effect.
