I have an old tablet that I use for university and because it's old I can't use Google Chrome or most other browsers because my tablet hasn't had a security update since 2018 but I can use Firefox for Android so I was wondering if someone can tell me if it should keep working because apparently Firefox checks it's own security certificate or something along those lines... or I'm gonna have to buy a new tablet like the university told me?

Hi

What version of Android do you have installed on that tablet?

I have Android 7 on an Asus tablet

You should be able to install and run Firefox for Android on that without a problem.
