I played same Youtube video on Firefox and on Edge and Firefox uses way more data(I/O write bytes) I/O writes and I/O Read bytes than Edge. I added the screenshot.

pm: I ran Firefox in Safe mode and with Sessionstore disabled . Some say it is because of History, but I dont want to delete it.

These are same tabs opened in both browsers, Firefox keeps on writing, dont know why.

So unless it's making the computer slow that's the least of the worry.

I think better solution is to use Edge, I used Firefox for years, since my first pc, but this is to much.

Anybody knows why Firefox uses much more data than Edge for the same pages?
