My TB address book saves every email address and I now have hundreds of addresses. Many of the people I write too are one-time emails. Is there any way not to automatically save addresses? Thank you, Gary

Typically there are two address books: the Personal Address Book, and Collected Addresses.

Thunderbird uses the latter to save the recipient email addresses of those recipients which don't exist in the Personal Address Book.

You can change that behavior in the Settings.

At the top right of the Thunderbird window, click the menu button ≡ > Settings

Type 'collected' into the search box. Un-check the option 'Automatically add outgoing email addresses ...'
