I am replacing my old PC with a Mac that is running Sonoma. I’m a new Mac user so this is brand new to me. I have moved my Tbird profile from one PC to another. But moving to a Mac is brand new to me.

I have no idea where a Mac stores files or how to download to the right place.

Would you please walk me through, step by step, how to download my Tbird profile from my PC to my Mac so I will have all of my old email?

I have been using Tbird for decades and do not want to lose that email in my move to Mac.

Many many thanks in advance for your support.

I suggest letting Thunderbird figure that out: tools>import>import from another Thunderbird installation.

I don’t understand how I can use the directions you steered me to to do this on two different computers, one a PC and one a Mac.

Copy the profile from PC to a USB stick first. All Thunderbird will prompt for is the location of the profile.
