Webpage reloads when switching apps
When switching to another app from Firefox and then switching back to firefox, the webpage reloads. This is not a memory issue, I have enough RAM and it happens even if I only have 1 tab open. This is a major pain when I need to enter a 2FA code and need to swith apps to get the code. Or if I'm watching a YouTube video and get a call, the youtuve page reloads after the call has ended. Please suggest how to fix this.

I can switch between apps and have splt screen apps and not have this issue on my Xperia XZ3 running Android 10.

You can see in this video that I open Firefox and search 'hello'. Then I minimize the app and open clock. When I switch back to the app, it reloads the page. There are no other apps running and plenty of ram left.
I have the same problem. I actually have about 1000+ tabs open on my app (lol) so thought that this was what was causing the issue. But if prakhar18032000 is having the same issue with only one tab open, then this clearly not because of the tab count. Like, they said this make 2FA especially annoying and I need to duck duck go for those types of tasks.
I'm not able to replicate the issue on Android 10 nor Android 14. i assume you have another Android device to test? When I switch apps, the video will pause and not refresh. Create another user on your phone and test again.
What device are you using? I'm on Xperia XZ3(Android 10) and Xperia 1 VI(Android 14).

So this bug (1752594) has been open for the last 3 years but my issue only started happening sometime in 2023.
In that time, both Firefox for Android and other apps that you have installed have been updated multiple times. That bug is the place where this work is being tracked and you are welcome to follow it.

I also have a Xiaomi Redmi 9 device with MIUI 13 (Android 12) and also have this problem with Firefox, I was browsing YouTube videos, I received an SMS, i checked it, deleted it and went back to Firefox and Firefox reloaded the tab, the whole process didn't take more than 20 seconds and device has 4GB RAM, so it can't be RAM shortage.
This never happened to me on a Samsung J7 Prime with 3GB RAM and stock Android 8
